1.
I was walking in the rain When I saw her She passed me by She was staring at the sky When she said “it’s you again” But I've just got this dream that I don’t fully understand I’ll borrow yours for the night if I can She said it’s not a game to play She said it’s not even may
2.
How could she know Where the path led to? Where would she go When she bled too? But her time Operates differently And our time Flies by indifferently What do you seek In a self-drawn cart? Is this the week When the house falls apart? But death It’s never definite Just like life It’s somehow indefinite What would you dream When someone’s watching? And how do you mean That someone’s watching? But her mind Is wandering again Till she finds Life against the grain
3.
I like the smell of teardrops in the morning Setting fire to the sun I like live rounds without warning And escaping on the run She wears death’s head on her back She is all dressed up in black She knows there is no turning back Once she puts on the mask
4.
Always thought I’d be in the streets Digging up the beach In the heat of the night of the barricades We join the parade The only achievement I can speak of is that I made you mine The most romantic thing I can think of Is crossing the police line Have you ever been in a city That is besieged? In the night of the living dead You paint the town red The only achievement I can speak of is that I made you mine The most romantic thing I can think of Is being your partner in crime
5.
Did you see me in the dark? Did you see me at all? Did you see me all alone? Did you take me home? Got to find a way, Got to find a way. Got to find a way to you. Did you see me in a tree? Did you see me on a train? Did you serve me on a tray, And my head on a plate? Got to get away, Got to get away. Got to get away from you. Did you find me funny? Did you find me fun? Did you find me f**kable From a certain point of view?
6.
Rear-view 03:21
See the headlights in the mirror You don’t want to go home Just ignore the driver and you’ll Be with her alone Smell like cigarettes but you feel Like one more beer After dropping her off you wonder Why am I here But you don’t regret any of it Only the things you didn’t do Looking back at the wasted years and What they meant to you What you sow is what you reap Living in a tent in a desert You felt like a king She was by your side and you Wouldn’t change a thing But it’s all over now, baby blue You’re leaving Thank you for the days It’s been amazing But you don’t regret any of it Only the things you didn’t do Looking back at the wasted years and What they meant for you What you get is what you see But you don’t regret any of it Only the things you didn’t do Looking back at the wasted years and What they meant for you What you are is what you eat
7.
Over the space of a year At the speed of light You have lived without fear Till this homecoming stage fright When you land In the land of the meek Have you heard of Joe Meek? I talked about him last week Over the space of a year Across an ocean of stars You wish that she could hear The tunes you’ve been spinning so far But so far In her time warping memoir Feeling like a beehive displayed in a bell jar Coming back alone You’re the only one who hasn’t grown As she whips out children of her own
8.
Upon a Star 03:28
Wish upon a star Wish she never started Those who tell her what she must Are the ones she never should trust Wish upon the sea Wish she could unsee What she’s seen So obscene Wish upon a dream Wish she had screamed When he said he was the one that was meant to be Wish upon her life As a daughter and wife With all the deaths she’d died Don’t wish upon a lie Wish upon a fire Wish it never tires Wish it burns Till there’s no table to turn Wish she was alive
9.
Broadcast 04:33
You’ve seen her from your radio tower Into sunset from closing hour She sings along to the prettiest song You play it again and it goes dong dong dong You step down as the satellite jockey Naturally you ask her what her name is She faces the sun, the twilight goes through her hair “My name isn’t a secret but what do you have to share?” When the song is over, I hope you’d understand When the day is over, you’ll be holding her hand When the night is over, your heart’ll break in two When the week is over, you won’t remember it too The love that I stockpiled is ready to give away What more can you want? Apart from the trees that sway Will you join me at the Neptune’s dawn "Bring your own booze", said the queen to the pawn "A year is very long", she said "A tear is worth a thousand songs", she said When the song is over, I hope you’d understand When the day is over, you’ll be holding her hand When the night is over, your heart will break in two When the week is over, you won’t remember it too When the season is over, you’ll be feeling the pain When the year is over, you won’t see her again
10.
I would like to invite you To the happening of the year Song and dance like a plague Spreading far and near Have your ever seen a spider weaving in your bed? Weaving the dreams of Technicolor And dances with the dead Dance dance dance till you’re one with the night Dance dance dance till they come back to life Dance dance dance no one gets out alive Dance dance dance the end is nigh

about

This album consists of various pieces of work I did as Dream Console for the past few years. The tracks are from previously released singles, remixed B-sides and scrapped EPs. It's a snapshot that captures Dream Console through the heady years of 2016-2020.

Paradise Park is both an actual park in North London and an oneiric playground in an imaginary childhood. The lyrics reflect both a changing world and the observer.

The music is sonic experiments that I underwent to explore the boundaries of rock, pop, folk, jazz and electronica, harking back to all the influences that I have. I tried to seek out all the digital representations of old and/or esoteric instruments and effects to create an atmosphere of by-gone eras.

about

Dream Console London, UK

Dream Console is a one-person project.

Based in London, Dream Console represents my exploration into the past and future of music.

Dream Console is obsessed with sounds of days gone by, but these sounds are now recreated with modern technology, hence it’s a hybrid of the analogue and the digital, the old and the new, a dream console.
